Preamble
- Detailed health and safety plan with double closures, barriers, and signage in conjunction with a licensed asbestos contractor to local authority.
- Zoning of works and timelines as some staff working during summer break.
- Asbestos awareness and manual handling training of operatives
- Supervision by Council appointed Clerk of works
- Strip out and reinstatement works
- Lifting of concrete slabs using props, lifting tackle and manual handling.
- Removal of existing asbestos insulated pipework and bracketry under controlled condition.
- Refurbishment of entire duct with sealing paint by Licenced Asbestos Company.
Supply and Install
- 300 meters of heating flow and return carbon steel pipework re-connecting to boiler room.
- New pipe work supports (Big Foot) avoiding drilling into floor and walls as per instructions by Council Asbestos Officer.
- Insulation of pipework, Valve Tags and Labels
- Pressure test, Filling and flushing and dosing with inhibitor.
- Reinstatement of slabs and making good for new flooring by others
Replacement of corridor cast iron radiators with LST steel panel radiators
